Boxing Training Routine For Getting The Most From A At Home Workout

We all have tried to create a boxing program that actually fits us, keeps us working hard and keeps us motivated. It’s easier said than done. 1. Work on your form and throwing pinpoint shots. Stay on your toes and move around the bag. Workout as if you were in a real contest , working to use the most solid form and the best techniques.

2. Launch a minimum of 4 punches every time you launch a combination. Of course you can fire more, but never launch any less. This will really improve your stamina and get you adjusted to throwing shots in combinations, which is essential for boxing.

3. Position yourself next to the bag to work on your close quarters fighting. Practice shortening up your shots but always keeping them hard. Train guarding yourself as if you were next to the ropes or trapped in a corner. Boxing routines should teach you both offense and defense, and this technique accomplishes that.

4. Throw nothing except body punches, unless you throw a punch to facilitate lining up your body shot. Fire every body shot as hard as as you can, really using your complete body including your lower body.

5. Try your hardest for this round of the workout. You should set a target of throwing no less than 200 shots. If you work on it in a few of occassions and can’t fulfill the 200, build up to it in movements of 25. If you can calmly launch 200 shots in a round, elevate the objective by 25 shot levels.
