Wherever you look you get swamped with weight loss before after, be it on TV, magazines, the Internet and every other way the media can get to us. Whichever website you go to on the Internet has at least one ad with promises to make you lose lots of weight in no time, either through diet pills, exercise, surgery, fiber pills, shakes and the works or by only eating a few calories a day and who knows what else.

Who wants to hear more vain bla bla?. When you look behind the façade, who do you think the authors and inventors of all these get-slim-instantly-without-any-effort methods really care about? Well first and foremost their bank accounts. Why would they care if you actually got yourself sick using their wonder product, while there are visible and quickly accomplished results to your own weight loss before after photos, even if the effect doesn’t last from 11 to noon.

Are you even aware of the things that you fill your body up on in order to rid yourself of some pounds? There are the natural remedies to lose weight, herbal teas and the likes, (sounds harmless enough, doesn’t it?), some of which have the potential to give you mayor heart problems (yes, I do know people that had to be hospitalized after their consumption). Then there is the worst of all (that I know of), where people apparently have chosen to go with a surefire “diet pill”, containing tapeworm larvae. One heck of a way to lose weight and health and . . . ewwhh!!! Many diet products use chemicals and artificial ingredients to replace the real (and potentially fattening) things in our food. Have you taken a moment to have a closer look and the ingredient list of some of these so-called foods? You’ll need a dictionary to figure out what you’d be eating. Are you sure that such ingredients, keeping the low-cal factor in mind, are really better for you than reduced amounts of true nutrients?

Rest assured that in none of these programs or products you’ll find a word that will explain that sudden weight loss of several pounds in a couple of days is due to loss of water. You also won’t hear that the miraculously reduced waistline in a day or so will be product of a good and healthy bowel movement.. These facts don’t change no matter how many weight loss before after stories they are trying to sell you.

3,500 calories make up a pound of body fat. If you want to lose some of those you have ingest fewer calories than your body consumes (to lose a pound in a week you need to eat 500 calories less a day) or you have to exercise to burn it off (one hour of elliptical machine or swimming will buy you 600 calories off your hips). So when you get out your calculator you’ll see that it is impossible not to ingest or burn off 10,000 calories in a couple of days to make you lose three pounds and get your weight loss before after experience.

Meaning, that if a program promises you weight loss of three pounds in the first two days they’re telling you a fairy tale. Stepping onto your scale you actually might feel the need to agree with them, you’ve definitely lost weight, at least for the first week maybe, but looking at the facts, what was it that you actually lost? Well, for one thing it wasn’t body fat. Instant weight loss before after of several pounds in only a couple of days regularly is to say you lost bowel contents and water.

So, we’ve figured out what doesn’t work. Great! Now, what actually does help me to slim down? If you were hoping for a quick fix that won’t cost you anything but some money to get weight loss before after, I’ll have to disappoint you. True and lasting weight loss, that you will be able to maintain for the rest of your life, will have to come with a change in lifestyle. Of course, using a good, healthy method to combine the right kinds of (real) foods to give you a good shove in the right direction is a good idea. But in the end you will have to decide once and for all what and how much food is going to do you good. Keep in mind that your goal to get your own weight loss before after story is attainable, making the right decisions for yourself and taking action.
